How Much Presser Foot Pressure?

-- Seams may pucker -- Ends of seams are uneven
-- Fabric will stretch --Presser foot may mark fabric
To correct: -- Turn pressure dial toward minimum
setting

--Fabric slides from side to side under presser foot
--Fabric does not feed through machine smoothly
--Stitches may not be uniform
--Skipped stitches may occur
To Correct: Turn pressure dial toward maximum
setting

How Much Needle Thread Tension?

-- Loops or knots form on underneath side of fabric.
To correct: -- Check machine threading
-- Turn tension dial toward larger
number to tighten upper thread

-- Loops form on top side of fabric
-- Thread may break   -- Fabric may pucker
To correct: -- Check machine threading
                  -- turn tension dial to a smaller number
                     to loosen upper thread
